    Callao: Alertan presencia de hidromedusas en playas

     

    Expertos de la Dirección Regional de Salud (Diresa) del Callao recomendaron a los bañistas verificar el estado del mar ante la repentina presencia de hidromedusas, que han causando picaduras en varias playas del primer puerto.

    El titular de esta dependencia, Aldo Lama Morales, recomendó que los veraneantes observen antes de entrar a bañarse a la playa si hay presencia de estos organismos gelatinosos.

    Señaló que el roce de estas hidromedusas con la piel produce un intenso ardor y picazón. En caso una persona resulte afectada, lo primero que aparecerán son aguijones en la piel, que pueden retirarse con una pinza.

    No obstante, bajo ninguna circunstancia es recomendable lavar el área afectada con agua dulce o con la arena porque esto generaría mayor daño en la piel. “Es importante lavar y enjuagar la piel con agua de mar”.
