    Peruana gana concurso de la NASA para alimentar a astronautas

    La ingeniera Leslye Carnero, egresada de la Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre de Tacna, ganó un concurso organizado por la  NASA que busca la receta ideal de papa que pueda alimentar a los astronautas en su futura misión a Marte.

    La profesional peruana, ingeniera alimentaria y magíster en nutrición dietética, presentó un plato a base de papas, arándanos, kiwicha y maní.

    El concurso ‘La patata marciana’ exigía que la papa empleada para el potaje se ajuste a las características del suelo desértico del ‘planeta rojo’.

    El objetivo es brindar a los astronautas alimentos que puedan cultivarse y prepararse en situaciones de adversidad climática, debido a la atmósfera y al tipo de suelo. La primera misión a Marte estaría programada para el año 2030.
